MCV Pacific Weekly Wrap-Up

In the Pacific region this week, MCV interviews the GM of Mindscape, The Walking Dead will miss these shores, and the FIWC draws to a close.

  • MCV speaks extensively to 16 year ANZ industry veteran Tonia Valesco (pictured) on the changes in marketing and retail we've undergone in the last couple of generations, and what the current concerns mean in a broader sense.
  • News that The Walking Dead from Telltale games will not be distributed in Australia or New Zealand has been met with angst after Telltale cited the age rating issue as its reason, in spite of New Zealand carrying an R rating already.
  • Harvey Norman has felt the heat with a handful of irate customers still not having received stock from a massive gaming sale it put on last month.
  • The FIFA Interactive World Cup has drawn to a complete close with the New Zealand finals taking place in Auckland. MCV has covered the entire Oceania tournament extensively here.
