Mortal Kombat is refused classification, JB Hi-Fi continues to grow, a new web site launches and a Flight Control sequel come out of MCV Pacific this week.

The Australian Classification Board has refused classification to Mortal Kombat: Game of the Year Edition for Playstation Vita, following on from the home console game being similarly prevented from sale in Australia last year.

JB Hi-Fi is the standout retail success story in Australian / New Zealand retail, with Macquarie Group investing in the company to the tune of 5 per cent after it opens its 160th store.

Independent developers have a web site dedicated to their cause, as a developer from Raptus Games and two other contributors launch such a web site this week based in Melbourne entitled Game Beholder.

EA mobile developer Firemint has announced the successor to its mega-hit iOS game Flight Control, taking things intergalactic next with Flight Control Rocket.
