Media spotlight on GME

New UK trade event Games Market Europe is set for national exposure with the news this week that the BBC’s Money Programme will be filming the event for broadcast.

In addition, the organisers have confirmed to MCV that journalists from the BBC, ITN, Sky News and the Sci-Fi Channel will all be covering the event, as interest continues to build.

Additionally, Nokia, Just Flight and Mastertronic are the latest firms to sign up as exhibitors, while Future Publishing has pledged its support as a sponsor.

Mastertronic will showcase its latest M.A.D, PC Gamer and Sold Out ranges, while Just Flight will have titles including Traffic 2005 and Flying Club on display.

“GME is proving the focal point for not just the games industry, but the wider press, too,” Tandem Events’ Andy Lane told MCV. “The fact that esteemed shows such as The Money Programme are using the event as a backdrop for their games coverage illustrates the value it brings to the industry, not just as a trade event, but as a means to promote games beyond our typical audience.”

GME runs from August 31st–September 1st at the Business Design Centre in Islington, North London.
