With Master Chief having opened proceedings, Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II was given the honour of closing Microsoft’s E3 press presentation just moments ago.
The live gameplay shown saw a player in a squad transporting a female President, only for the convoy to be compromised by an attack on a chopper that very nearly takes out the vehicle.
The President survives, however, leaving the player with the task of fending off the ambush.
After taking to a stationary missile launcher to take down some enemy aircraft, gameplay returned to the streets with a futuristic hovering jet lending support.
Following that it was business as usual, with the player offering sniper support amidst a seemingly American inner-city warzone.
A second sequence set in a war-torn shopping mall was then shown. This closed with the player taking control of the aforementioned jet fighter (called an FA-38) and trying to protect the President’s convoy.
