MICROSOFT: New Halo 5: Guardians gameplay shows multiplayer focus

Halo 5: Guardians looks set to be the Chief’s biggest adventure yet.

Showing off the upcoming sci-fi shooter on-stage at its E3 press conference, Microsoft demonstrated Guardian’s heavy focus on multiplayer.

The game features seamless drop-in, drop-out co-operative play.

Players will be able to control two separate squads, one led by series staple Master Chief and one commanded by newcomer Frazer Locke, as the two face off in a battle of deceit and questionable truths.

Up to 24 players will be able to play, facing off against massive AI-controlled enemies, in the game’s new ‘Warzone’ game mode.

Bigger baddies need bigger areas to run around in, so Guardians boasts environments said to be four times the size of any previous Halo map.
