MICROSOFT: Xbox teams up with Last.fm, Facebook and Twitter

Microsoft has announced new deals with online music station Last.fm and social networking site Facebook – the latest in a major week of content partnerships that has also seen it team up with TV service bSKYb.

In addition, Xbox 360 will also be introducing Twitter compatibility.

On top of this there will also be an element of game integration, with the demonstration showing content from Tiger Woods being uploaded to Facebook.

Microsoft’s John Schappert told the crowd at the firm’s E3 conference today:

"Last.FM is tailor-made for the living room. Last. Fm will be available to Xbox Live Gold members around the world later this year at no additional charge."
