Notch’s first commercial release since Minecraft is… a title where gamers play as a horse. On some hills.
Cliffhorse is currently available for free as an ‘early access’ release, though those who feel like contributing to the title’s development can do so by donating Dogecoins. The title is only available for Windows at the moment.
The game’s website notes that there is no guarantee of future updates.”
The developer said that 280,000 Dogecoins – or $60 – had been made from the release so far.
Notch tweeted on Saturday that the title took a mere two hours to design in Unity.
This is not the first game that Notch has worked on since Minecraft – he was previously developing a sci-fi title called 0X10c before it was cancelled.
The developer’s previous commercialrelease, Minecraft, has gone on to be a blockbuster success. Two physical versions of the title have been released within the last year. So far in 2014, neither the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 editions have left the Top Ten.
