One of the most high-profile game series of the past ten years is to introduce a new mode for those affected by Colour Vision Deficiency.
Sledgehammer Games, the co-developers of Modern Warfare 3, said a new feature added to the FPS would help those with a decreased ability to perceive differences between certain colours.
Michael Condrey, co-founder of the studio, estimated that “nearly a million gamers are playing Call of Duty every day with this [colour-blindness] issue”.
“I am happy to report that we are working on a Colour Blind Assist option for Modern Warfare 3,” he added.
Colour Blindness affects 7 to 10 per cent of the western population, according to independent estimates.
Modern Warfare 3, co-developed by Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward, is due for release in November.

The picture is either a 3 or an 8, I can't tell.

Then I would say you have slight colour blindness. The left side of the 8 is orange instead of pink like the rest of the 8.

Don't let the BBC read that last comment... They'll run a story on videogames rotting the minds of kids or something :P
