Gamescom is seeing a stronger early demand than it did last year, with EA, Nintendo and more already confirming attendance.
More companies have taken advantage of the early bird booking period this year than 2010, with the online and browser game hall nine almost already sold out.
Trade show Gamescom 2011 – which runs in Cologne’s Koelnmesse from August 17th to 21st – has also seen increased interest from accessories firms such as BigBen Interactive and Razer.
Some companies have even booked several stands. For example Ubisoft has reserved a second space in hall nine as well as its main stand in hall seven.
By February 15th, Gamescom’s organisers had already received registrations from the US, Canada, Korea, the UK, France, Switzerland, Poland and the Netherlands.
Gamescom 2011 is assuming a definite shape at a pleasantly early stage”, said executive VP of Koelnmesse Oliver P. Kuhrt.
