Capcom’s Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is out now on Apple’s app store for iOS devices.
The mobile game based on Japan PSP release Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G can be purchased for $14.99, with Capcom promising no hidden costs” and no additional fees after download” in the first lines of the app’s description.
The iOS update offers a few additions and improvements to the original Japanese release, such as wi-fi enabled real-time four player co-op battles, touchscreen optimization, higher HD resolution support (up to 2048×1536 on iPad screens), a new target camera option, as well as support for controller peripherals on iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
Capcom is also working on Monster Hunter Ultimate 4 – a western adaptation on Japan’s Monster Hunter 4G – for a 2015 release in Europe and North America on Nintendo 3DS.
