With updates and upgrades already rolling out for Sony’s Gran Turismo 5, developer Polyphony Digital has said that it plans to upgrade a number of the title’s in-game cars.
In total GT5 includes a little over 1,000 cars. However, only 200 or so of these are ‘Premium’ cars. These boast higher poly counts and smoother looks, as well as fully modelled interiors so gamers can race from inside the cabin – this isn’t offered with the other 800 ‘standard’ cars.
Andriasang reports that Polyphony boss Kazunori Yamauchi has told Famitsu that along with the many other updates he has planned for the game, he also hopes to upgrade some of the standard vehicles with a premium makeover.
There’s currently no timeframe on the update, but expect tweaks for the game to continue arriving well into next year.
