Phil Spencer has said that Microsoft have not greenlit a sequel to Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake, following claims by the latter studio that work was underway on a new franchise title.
Speaking to Joystiq at E3, the Microsoft Studios corporate vice president talked down the sales impact of the original game, and brought into question the liklihood that a sequel has been signed with anyone.
"I think the stuff they’re [Remedy] doing now they wanted to incubate, Mattias and the team," he said.
"They wanted to incubate internally. Like I said, I don’t think they’ve signed it with anybody."
