Namco Bandai goes back to school for Ben 10 campaign

Namco Bandai and Cartoon Network will teach over 300,000 kids about the solar system with the help of hit cartoon character Ben 10.

A full curriculum-mapped series of lesson plans are now available for teachers to use. They are based on Namco’s upcoming video game Ben 10: Galactic Racing, and will encourage pupils to explore the solar system, as well as learn lessons about science, maths and technology.

The project is reachingout to 5,000 primary schools, and the lesson plans will be accompanied by a competition which will invite pupils to design their own Ben 10: Galactic Racing kart.

This is a great opportunity to engage with an audience of information-hungry primary school children,” said Namco Bandai Partners UK marketing director Lee Kirton.

It allows us to support teachers by installing a programme into the educational sector inspired by the Ben 10 licence and this is great news for teachers and pupils alike.”

Turner Enterprises’ UK licensing director Graham Saltmarsh added: It’s fantastic to be able to harness Ben 10’s popularity with kids and create a provision for learning about important subjects such as science, maths and technology.

Based on the national curriculum, the lesson plans are packed full of activities which will help bring these topics to life and prove tobe a valuable resourcefor teachers.”
