NASCR battle sees Bishop resign

The chief executive of NASCR – who has held the role for almost ten years – announced his decision this morning. He will leave the trade association on April 21st.

“I am unable to elaborate on my reasons [for leaving], only that I have been unable to accept a decision made by the committee which I so strongly feel is a direction which will not be in NASCR’s best interest,” he offered. “This has been a very long and arduous battle with the committee, but I feel my conscience just wouldn’t allow me to stay.

“As you can imagine, after giving so much of my life and commitment to NASCR, it has not been an easy decision. And in the interest of NASCR, I find it impossible to say anything further at the risk of any damage to NASCR and its future.”
