Nate Wells joins Naughty Dog following Irrational Games departure

Former Bioshock Infinite art director Nate Wells has revealed he’ll be joining Naughty Dog to apparently focus on their upcoming PS3-exclusive The Last of Us.

"In this fall, and this is hard, In this fall, I’m taking my talents to South Beach"..wait..I mean #naughtydog and #thelastofus…can’t wait,” Wells announced on his Twitter account.

Wells didn’t indicate in what capacity he’d be working for the studio, or on the game. He was one of a handful of key staff members to depart from the Bioshock Infinite team and Irrational Games last week.

A report that multiplayer modes had been chopped from Bioshock Infinite also came about immediately following the exits. Ken Levine took to a bit of damage control, and it was also revealed that former director of production at Epic Games Rod Fergusson was joining the team in an unconfirmed capacity.

Original Bioshock art director Scott Sinclair took over for Wells vacant position at Irrational.
