New sales director for EA UK

Rob Davey is to leaveEA UK for a new roleDown Under.

From September 12th, the former UK sales director takes the role of general manager of the SANZA (South Africa, New Zealand and Australia) territory. He’ll report into Mark Bradley.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at EA UK and I look forward to the challenge of a GM role in a new and exciting location,” said Davey.

To replace Davey, former business unit controller James Robinson has been promoted to the UK sales director post, reporting to Keith Ramsdale.

Ramsdale told MCV: I want to thank Rob for allof his hard work over the past five years, it has beena real pleasure workingwith him and I wish him every success in his new role within EA.

I’m also delighted tohave been able to promote James Robinson to UKsales director.

The calibre of industry and non-industry applicants was incredibly high and James demonstrated the knowledge, leadership and passion necessary to drive the UK business forward.”

Meanwhile, the hunt is on for a new PR manager at EA’s UK office.Sophie Orlando recently departed the publisher and the firm is now looking for a replacement to work on Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3, Need For Speed and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
