New Steam report system lets customers flag offensive, illegal games

Valve is readying a new customer report feature that allows users to flag offensive games or products that violate laws.

DualShockers points to a new beta update for Steam’s client that packs a new prompt giving customers the option to report a title for several reasons.

Violations include: Breaching law, being offensive, harmful to hardware, containing hate speech, adult content, pornographic material, fraud, or content that exploits children in any way.

It’s unclear what, if anything, Valve will do in response to these reports – and no word on if and when the feature will become official.
