The usual expanses of concrete, bright lights and yellow cabs will make way for sandy beaches, swimming pools and tropical plants next week when Nintendo stages a very high-profile takeover of New York’s Time Square to promote the release of Wii Sport Resort.
Based on Military Island, the installation will offer punters the chance to get their hands on the game ahead of its official US release on July 26th. There will also be prizes on offer, as well as a host of ‘experts’ who will be taking on the crowd in many of the game’s events.
The event, which will take place on July 23rd, is open to all ages and will be open from 9:00-15:00.
