NINTENDO: Ubisoft emphasises Wii U commitment

Publisher Ubisoft has continued its strong presence at this year’s E3 by taking centre stage in Nintendo’s E3 conference.

The first game it demoed was Just Dance 4, with four players on stage dancing and American Nintendo boss Reggie Fils-Aime dictating the sequence of the action on the Wii U Gamepad.

This role is described as the Puppet Master”.

Next up was new IP ZombiU – a huge contrast to the dance title and proving both Nintendo’s and Ubisoft’s huge ambition for the machine.

The game uses the Gamepad in lots of inventive ways, including the scanning of the gameworld and dedicated mini-games for activities like hacking.

The controller was also used to transform the face of Reggie into a zombie. A worryingly convincing zombie.

Other titles mentioned included Assassin’s Creed III, Rabbids Land, Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013, Rayman legends, Sports Connection and Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth.
