Nintendos share down at GameStop

GameStop has revealed that 23 per cent of it’s new games revenues in the year ending January 31st 2010 came from the sale of Nintendo products.

However, this number is down from the 25 per cent Nintendo commanded in the same period the year before.

Gamespot reports that Sony accounted for the second largest slice of sales at 17 per cent, with Microsoft and EA both claiming 12 per cent. Activision was close behind with 11 per cent of software sales.

In addition, just ten publishers accounted for 85 per cent of Gamestop’s business in the period. The top brass have increased their share, having claimed just 80 per cent of sales in 2007/08 and 65 per cent in 2006.
