Nordic announces We Dance

Nordic Games is taking on Ubisoft’s smash hit Just Dance with a dancing game of its own.

We Dance is an extension of the publisher’s We Sing range and is scheduled to reach shelves next month.

The game will feature three styles of play and 40 licensed tracks spanning four decades of music.

Users will be able to play either using the Wii Remote, Nordic’s Star Mat peripheral or a mixture of both. Buyers can purchase We Dance as a solo SKU or as a bundle with one or two Star Mats.

There will be a blend of rock, pop, rap, disco and drum ‘n’ bass songs in-game – along with their own professionally choreographed dance steps and original music videos. It isn’t Nordic’s first foray into dance – the publisher released Dance Party Club Hits and Dance Party Pop Hits on Wii and PS2 in early 2009 – months before Just Dance hit shelves.

The market is primed for the release of We Dance, and it sits perfectly alongside our family of We Sing games,” said Nordic Games sales and marketing director Nik Blower.

We Dance is a great party and family gaming experience, accessible to people of all ages and abilities.”

The game is an extension of Nordic’s well-established We brand – which includes titles such as We Sing, We Sing Encore andWe Sing Robbie Williams.

Nordic Games is fast becoming the home of music entertainment on the Wii, and We Dance is a significant extension to our range,” added Blower.
