Nvidia ShadowPlay records last 20 minutes of gaming

There are already a host of gameplay recording options open to PC owners, but Nvidia is bringing its own offering to the table.

It’s called ShadowPlay and it will be introduced as part of Nvidia’s GeForce Experience software suite on October 28th.

Users can activate it using a keyboard toggle, at which point it will begin recording a player’s last 20 minutes of game time. Alternatively, it can also be started and stopped manually.

It can record video in up to 1080p at 60fps although that will come at a performance hit of between five and ten per cent. Users will also need either a GTX 600 or GTX 700 series card.

Live streaming and Twitch integration are promised in a future update.
