Nyko ‘fixes’ Kinect space demands

A new accessory from peripherals maker Nyko is targeting those who lack the necessary living room space needed to play with Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Kinect.

Called the ‘Zoom’, the device attaches to the top of Kinect and adjusts its viewing angle.

Nyko says that using it "reduces the play range required to enjoy Kinect software by up to 40 per cent", allowing gamers to use it in a smaller room than would otherwise be possible.

The company also claims that "Zoom’s wide angle lens also enables two people to play in an area normally only suitable for a single player making it ideal for those in smaller apartments or dorm rooms".

No software tweaks or special calibration is required.
