OBE for Livingstone

A true industry veteran, Livingstone (pictured) founded Games Workshop with Steve Jackson in 1975, later becoming deputy chairman of Domark.

He was instrumental in the merger and flotation of the publisher with Eidos in 1995 and served at the company as executive chairman until 2002. And following Eidos’ acquisition by SCi last year, Livingstone now serves as product acquisition director.

“I am thrilled to have been awarded an OBE,” he said. “It really is a tremendous personal honour, but also recognition for the computer games industry which is a great UK success story. It’s been brilliant making a career out of what is, after all, my hobby.”
