Paramounts games strategy still on track

Paramount has set its sights on ‘furthering its initiatives’ in the games space – despite the

departure of ‘games boss’ Sandi Isaacs

.

Isaacs left the company earlier this week, in a move which the movie giant has told MCV has been overstated through the media”.

Paramount last week announced Iron Man: Aerial Assault and Saturday Night Fever: Dance! for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Some expect it to launch a boxed product publishing arm in Europe soon – following a partnership with Legacy Interactive for DS product in the US.

Of Isaacs’ departure, a Paramount spokesperson told MCV:
This story has been overstated through the media.

Sandi is leaving of her own accord as she is relocating to New York City and pursuing other options. Although she will be missed, we are confident that our search for a replacement will yield great results that will to further our initiatives in this space.

We have no plans to change our strategy in the videogame arena and no other employees are affected as a result of such.

Just last week we announced Iron Man: Aerial Assault and Saturday Night Fever: Dance! for the iPhone and iPod touch and have many more coming up in the next few months. Stay tuned.”
