A host of new sorting functionality is coming to Sony’s PS3 Trophy system in the next firmware update – which, incidentally, is the one that will add much-touted 3D game support.

Users will be able to sort their Trophies in both the ‘Trophy Collection’ and ‘Comparing Trophy’ screens, arranging them by one of a number of different criteria including game title, Trophy name or by date earned.

The PlayStation Blog says that the update “will be available shortly”.

Sony recently announced that consumers who buy its new 3D Bravia HX803 will receive four free 3D PS3 games.
