Pokemon Bank 3DS app launches across multiple regions

The Pokemon Bank 3DS app for Pokemon X & Y has arrived in several territories, including Europe and North America.

The app is available now on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Australia, Europe, New Zealand, and North America. It had previously been exclusive to Japan and a few other countries in Asia.

Pokemon Bank gives users the ability to store and organize up to 3,000 Pokemon from both X&Y and previous Pokemon titles. It’s free to download, but requires a $4.99 annual subscription fee – following the expiration of the app’s 30-day free trial.

The app was originally unveiled as part of December’s Nintendo Direct event. It was supposed to launch that same month in Asian markets, but suffered a one-month delay and instead released late in January.
