Nintendo has confirmed that the delayed Pokemon Bank service has been officially launched in some regions.
Specifically, Nintendo of America confirmed its availability in certain Asian countries”, adding that updates on availability in other regions” will follow at some point in the future.
The 3DS app was supposed to launch in December but was postponed after Nintendo’s festive eShop outage.
Pokemon Bank allows Pokemon players to store their Pokemon across 100 boxes, each of which can contain 30 creatures. It costs 4.49 a year.
This total of 3,000 Pokemon can then be deposited and withdrawn from copies of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. It will also be possible for those who played Pokemon Black, White, Black 2 and White 2 to transfer their previously collected monsters into the Bank.
