Project Cars gets new ‘guaranteed’ release date

Bandai Namco has announced what is says is the definite final release date for Project Cars.

We can now guarantee a release date for Project Cars for May 8th for PS4, Xbox One and PC,” the publisher said on Twitter.

The racer, in development at Slightly Mad Studios, has previously been delayed on three occasions.

The game had initially been due for release on November 21st last year. It was then pushed back to March 20th, and then again to April 2nd. The most recent delay pushed the title simply to ‘May’.

A Wii U version is supposedly still in the works, although it doesn’t currently have a release date.

A few technical details about the tile have also been confirmed. It will run at 1080p on PS4 and 900p on Xbox One, with 60fps being the target on both platforms. On PC the game can run at anything up to 12k for those with the required kit.

It also looks as if the game will have a string of graphics options on PC, the likes of which are normally seen on PC.
