On the face of it the claim seems a little unlikely, but a South African retailer named BT Games has stated in its latest retail catalogue that Sony’s PlayStation Move controller will be launched in July.
As spotted by LazyGamer, the catalogue boldly proclaims: “Watch out for the PlayStation Move. Coming this July.”
Until now all that was known for sure as that the device would hit retail some time this year, with Sony announcing in January that the controller’s arrival had been moved back until the autumn.
At first glance the July claim seem a little incredulous, but MCV was recently informed by a source very close to Sony that Move would be out “a lot sooner than you’d expect”.
Internally we’d considered this to mean August or September, but a July launch is not totally beyond the realms of responsibility.
