PS4 out now in India

The PlayStation 4 is finally on sale in India, and Sony is already talking shortages.

Several nation-wide retailers, including Landmark, Game4u and Games The Shop held midnight launches for the PS4 last night.

The console retails at Rs 39,990, with the camera and Dualshock 4 peripherals priced at Rs 4,990 each.

The PS4 was expected to hit stores with 11 launch titles in India, but EA’s games – FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 and Need for Speed: Rivals, have been delayed and should be available later in the month.

Sony India country manager Atindriya Bose was present at the midnight launch at Landmark in Andheri, Mumbai, and he told MCV that he expects the console to be sold out within a week.

While Sony wouldn’t reveal when the second lot of PS4 stock would arrive in India, we expect that to happen anytime between mid-February and early-March.
