PSN gets Japanese green light

The PSN crisis may be distant memory in the West, but it’s a different story in Japan where full restoration has finally been confirmed for this Wednesday (July 6th).

Though most PSN services were restored in the country around the same time they were reactivated in the West, the Japanese government blocked the restoration of the PlayStation Store.

It vowed that it wouldn’t green-light the service until it was completely satisfied that Sony had constructed a new infrastructure that met its security concerns.

Those conditions have now seemingly been met. In total the PlayStation Store has been inaccessible for 75 days in Sony’s homeland.

Sony has confirmed that the restoration will include services such as the PS Store, Qriocity, the purchasing of in-game content and DLC and Media Go.
