Report: Next-gen Tomb Raider reboot reveal planned for next month

Crystal Dynamics’ well received Tomb Raider reboot hasn’t officially been announced for next-gen consoles, but from the sound of things that fact may change in a matter of weeks.

IGN originally reported on a since-pulled Amazon Italy listing for a PlayStation 4 version of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, and a Square Enix rep has followed up with a statement that big news is coming next month.

"It’s so hard to keep a secret these days," the representative said.

"We appreciate all of the enthusiasm, however we don’t have any details to share just yet. That said, we highly recommend you keep an eye on any major gaming events happening in early December."

All signs seemingly point to Spike’s rebranded Video Game Awards show VGX as the major event in question. It takes place at 6 pm US eastern time on December 7th.
