It looks the Tokyo Game Show had passed with no mention of the long-awaited Resident Evil 6. Or has it?
Kotaku claims to have confirmation from a Japanese Capcom representative that a video for the game leaked online (but no seemingly wiped from existence) is legitimate, and is being shown off behind closed doors at the trade show.
On the record, Capcom has of course refused to comment on the “rumours”.
The trailer itself opens with the Resident Evil 15th Anniversary logo before we see the words "The world has seen all kinds of horror... Bio-organic weapons have taken over – and one place has the key to stop it all”.
It then depicts some sort of lab or industrial building. Falling debris then fades to the Resident Evil 6 logo.
UPDATED: Eurogamer is one of several outlets to say Kotaku's claims simply aren't true.
