RETAIL BIZ: Metal Gear tops PSP charts

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has debuted at No.1 in the PSP charts this week.

The Konami stealth action game put an end to 2010 FIFA World Cup’s seven-week stint in the top spot and is the first PSP title to reach No.1 since April.

2010 FIFA World Cup, ModNation Racers and Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines were all knocked down one place to second, third and fourth respectively, while Football Manager 2010 is a non-mover in fifth.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker fared reasonably well in the All Formats Top 40, debuting at No.18. It was one of only two new entries to make it to the Top 40 this week, behind Codemasters’ International Cricket 2010 at No.12.
