Rising Star readies five games for 3DS

Rising Star Games will unleash more than ten releases in the first half of 2012, including a new Harvest Moon.

Five of these titles will be released on Nintendo 3DS, such as retro arcade game Bit.Trip Saga in Q1, fishing title Super Black Bass 3D and puzzler Cradle of Rome 2 in the second quarter. Other 3DS releases include farming RPG Harvest Moon: The Tale of the Two Towns and puzzler Shifting World.

We’ve searched the world to find some of the most compelling products which showcase the 3DS and the unique experiences it can offer.”

Other titles in Rising Star’s 2012 line-up include Rune Factory Oceans on PS3 (pictured), which will hit UK shelves in Q2.The PS3 will also receive action title Way of the Samurai 4 later in 2012.

Bit.Trip Complete on Wii and DS puzzle strategy sequel Cradle of Persia will both arrive in the UK?in the next few months.Finally, cult 2D shooter Akai Katana from Japanese developer Cave will head to the UK in Q2 on Xbox 360, alongside puzzle platformer bundle Tofu Collection on DS.

2012 will be a big year for us, with some of the most enjoyable games across five formats and as many genres," added Defries.

Rising Star Games has sold over 1m units of the Harvest Moon series across PAL territories since the company started trading eight years ago.
