Rising Star to publish Caves DoDonPachi in the UK

Daring indie publisher Rising Star Games has announced that it is to publish a second Cave shooter in Europe – DoDonPachi Resurrection.

It follows on from the release of Deathsmiles on Xbox 360 last year.

DoDonPachi Resurrection is already available in Europe on iPhone (as is Deathsmiles), but this is the first time the game has received a PAL console release.

It’s the fifth game in Cave’s epic series. Rising Star’s version will feature a direct Arcade Mode port as well as upgraded HD console version. It will come as a Deluxe Edition including the soundtrack, and the Black Label arrange mode will be available as DLC on the day of release.

It’s due out in November.

The publisher has also announced a number of other new titles – King of Fighter XIII (360 and PS3, October), Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar (DS, September), Rune Factory 3 (DS, September) and Cradle of Rome 2 (DS, October).

We have a reputation for publishing games that fans want and the final half of this year is no different,” Rising Star MD Martin Defries stated.

We’re releasing some of the biggest titles we’ve ever had the pleasure of handling, including The King of Fighters XIII and DoDonPachi Resurrection, as well as the next instalment of our flagship series, Harvest Moon. It’s an incredibly exciting period for us and we’re delighted to be working on such distinguished titles at the top of their genres.”
