Konami is said to be working on a sequel to 3D hack ‘n’ slash title Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.
Eurogamer reports that the Wii U version had originally been planned as being more or less the same as another rumoured release – 2D outing Castelvania: Mirror of Fate on 3DS.
The pair were to have ‘interacted’ in ways specific to those SKUs. The game would have seen the Wii U tavlet acting as the 3DS’ lower screen and the TV mirroring the handheld’s top display.
I addition, the camera would also be utilised “as a mirror to capture your reflection and reveal your fate".
However, Konami has reported had a change of heart and will now port Lords of Shadow 2 to Wii U instead. Some cross-compatibility may still be retained, and don’t be surprised to see similar measures taken with the PS3 and Vita versions.
It adds that both games will be revealed at E3 in two weeks.
