Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts is, of course, the new UK No.1 according to the latest UKIE GfK Chart-Track figures.
However, while most would have expected the shooter to claim the title of second biggest launch of 2013 behind Grand Theft Auto V it actually falls short of that, becoming the year’s third biggest launch after Rockstar’s game and FIFA 14 – the latter of which suffered big year-on-year falls, remember.
Xbox 360 claimed 62 per cent of Ghosts’ sales, with PS3 claiming 43 per cent and, surprisingly, PS4 claiming three per cent – despite not being out until November 29th.
In fact, Ghosts on PS4 outsold the PS3 versions of both Assassin’s Creed IV and Battlefield 4.
The numbers also show that Battlefield 4 has shifted a total of 6,000 more units than Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag in their first two weeks.
There’s a new entry in 13th for Nintendo’s Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.
