Highly popular RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is already up and running – but a release is far from certain.
That’s because the game was ported as part of the development of Fallout 4 in an effort to get Bethesda Game Studios up to speed with working on Microsoft’s newest console.
"The first thing we did was port Skyrim to Xbox One," the studio’s Todd Howard told Game Informer, before quickly adding: "Don’t get your hopes up yet." Note the ‘yet’, although apparently Howard suggested that there’s certainly no intentions to remaster the game for current machines at the moment.
The report added that work on Fallout 4 started before Skyrim was complete after both Sony and Microsoft gave them advance word of the new hardware they had in development, although Bethesda decided against rushing development and making he game a launch title.
