Sony has filed a patent for several attachments that could be released for the firm’s upcoming Motion Controller.
The patent details an Expandable Control Device Via Hardware Attachment” and shows a number of accessories that enhance the controller’s abilities, according to Kotaku.
One example shows an attachment that joins to wands together, while another will allow PS3 users to play with a motion controller in one hand and a Dual Shock pad in the other.
There was a proposed biometric reader that can identify players by their thumbprint and swappable control faceplates to allow them to customise button layout.
Also detailed were microphone attachments, baseball bat peripherals and maraca-style rattle spheres.
