Steam Wallet prepaid cards now available at Game4u

Game4u is now offering Steam Wallets, which enable you to purchase games and other content on digital games service, Steam.

The Steam Wallet cards are offered in three denominations – $10 (for Rs 799), $25 (for Rs 1,999) and $50 (for Rs 3,799).

Game4u will not ship physical cards, but will instead email the codes to customers within 48 hours of purchase, and those codes can then be redeemed within Steam to add funds to your Steam wallet.

The cards are being sold at a substantial premium. For example, at the time of writing, $10 converts to less than Rs 620, so Game4u’s price is about 30% more than what you’d pay directly on Steam.

Considering Steam directly supports Indian debit and credit cards, the only advantage Game4u offers is the ability to pay via netbanking if you don’t have a card. Since the codes are delivered digitally, cash on delivery is not an option.
