Future’s Edge magazine has given Super Mario Galaxy 2 a notable 10/10 in its newest issue due out this week. It becomes only the 12th game to receive top marks from the famously critical multiformat mag.
Fellow title Official Nintendo Magazine is due to give the game 97 per cent, too.
"Marvel at the pieces, but appreciate the whole," the mag reads. "This isn’t a game that redefines the genre: this is one that rolls it up and locks it away. We’ve come so far, from stepping on mushrooms to drop-kicking meteors into the heart of the sun; Galaxy 2 offers a new understanding of where we’ve been, a new sense of wonder at where we’ll go next."
The platformer will be the recipient of a three week TV advertising campaign including two separate ads, one of which has been made specifically for kids TV. A 60 secdon cinema ad will also run prior to release.
