System 3 signs new Ferrari deal

System 3 has secured a new long-term deal with Ferrari.

The independent Brit publisher, which has released two Ferrari-branded video games to date, says the deal follows its success in Japan.

The last game in the series, Ferrari: The Race Experience, has been a mainstay in the Japanese PSN charts since it launched last year.

System 3 first signed the Ferrari licence back in 2007. And the publisher tells MCV the series has gone on to sell more than 3m

units worldwide. Previous Ferrari titles are available on PS3, Wii, PS2 and DS.

The Ferrari brand is all about prestige and about achieving the very pinnacle of engineering and ergonomic design,” said System 3 chief Mark Cale.

For us to sign an extension of our agreement with Ferrari and to crack Japan at the same time is the best possible way for us to celebrate our 30th birthday.

We have only scratched the surface with what we would like to do with the Ferrari licence but one thing will always remain the same: our dedication to creating an experience

that truly honours the mantra of Ferrari.”
