Team Secret and EG switch players, will have to go through open qualifiers for The International 6

After being knocked out of the Manila Major and coming joint last, both Team Secret and Evil Geniuses have made roster changes.

Team Secret offlaner Saahil UNiVeRsE” Arora has left the team, seemingly heading back to Evil Geniuses, the team he played with at TI5, while EG’s offlaner, Kanishka BuLba” Sosale, is heading in the other direction.

There have also been rumours that Kurtis Aui_2000” Ling has been kicked from Evil Geniuses, as was the case after TI5, in order to make room for Ludwig zai” Whlberg, who is registered as the team’s substitute player but has recently been a part of the Kaipi roster.

Due to the roster lock that encompasses both the Manila Major and The International 6, Team Secret and Evil Geniuses will now have to go through the open qualifiers, which anyone can register to play in, and the regional qualifiers in order to grab a spot TI6. Both teams will have to play multiple best of ones in the open qualifiers, which could easily mean that one, or both teams do not make it to The International.

Over the past year and a half both Team Secret and Evil Geniuses have been considered two of the best teams in Dota. There have been multiple roster swaps between the two sides over the course of that time, but this is the first time it has happened outside of an official transfer period. It is certainly a risky move to go through the open qualifiers, but recent performances for both teams have been poor.
