Tessa Jowell to open Games Summit

If rumours that Tessa Jowell and Lord David Sainsbury will speak at this year's industry conference are true, then maybe. Finally.

Delegates will hope to hear of new initiatives to deter the growing double threat to development of a brain drain and foreign outsourcing.

Businesses, meanwhile, will want to know how the UK hopes to avoid more companies moving their European HQs over to Switzerland. Publisher Electronic Arts moves next month, with Take Two then following by the end of the year.

MCV understands that Jowell, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, will kick off proceedings at BAFTA's headquarters in Piccadilly on Wednesday October 4th. Sainsbury, the Minister for Science and Innovation, could be the keynote on day two. Registrations are now open at www.londongamessummit .co.uk
