Naughty Dog has announced the third and final batch of DLC releases for The Last of Us, detailing a mix of new single-player and mutiplayer content for the PS3-exclusive.
Standing out from the standard multiplayer map, weapon, and skill bundles set to be offered, the new 'Grounded Mode' content is described by the studio as “the hardest challenge you’ll ever face as you try to complete the single-player campaign of The Last of Us. “
“The AI is relentless, smart, and brutal, and survival will be near impossible. “Completed Grounded Mode” might be one of the most difficult Trophies you’ll ever earn,” Naughty Dog's Eric Monacelli wrote.
The Grounded mode is individuality priced at $4.99, the map pack runs $9.99, the weapons pack is $5.99, and the two skills packs are $3.99 each. Additionally, Naughty Dog is giving everyone the Full-Auto Rifle download for free, and again: all pieces of DLC are part of the game's season pass.
The pass is now officially a limited time offer as well, ending on May 13th; though curiously, there's no word on when the Grounded Bundle content itself is expected to arrive. It's also worth noting that all this content, along with the previously released DLC, will be packaged with The Last of Us when it arrives on PS4 later this year.
