An expanded edition of This War of Mine is heading to current-gen consoles, developer 11 Bit Studios and publisher Deep Silver have revealed.
Dubbed This War of Mine: The Little Ones, the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One release will explore the hardships of wartime survival” as seen from the perspective of a child. Players will lead a group of both adults and children running low on supplies and attempting to survive a besieged city.
Along with this expanded version of original title, the PS4 release will include an exclusive shelter known as the Large Mansion.” According to 11 Bit, core gameplay will be influenced by how the building is shaped, how many floors it has, [and] how well it’s fortified and prepared as a potential hideout.”
This War of Mine: The Little Ones is currently scheduled to launch on January 29th, 2016. No word on whether the updates to The Little Ones will make their way to the original game’s current platforms – Windows PC, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android.
