THQ Partners signs Codies US deal

A new distribution deal between THQ Partners and Codemasters will see the former handle the US release of Dirt 3, F1 2011 and more.

While Codemasters will continue to orchestrate its own marketing campaigns, THQ Partners will distribute the Britsoft publisher’s big four 2011 games throughout North America.

The deal kicked off yesterday with the release of Dirt 3. Other titles named in the deal include Operation Flashpoint: Red River – due for release on June 7th – as well as Bodycount and F1 2011, which will land on shelves later this year.

The THQ Partners initiative truly resonated with us,” said Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens. THQ stands as a publishing force in North America and provide us the mindshare, commitment and resources of their organisation to successfully drive Codemasters products in this very important market.”

THQ Partners’ VP Tim Walsh added: Bringing together THQ’s world-class publishing and Codemasters’ highly acclaimed titles is a win-win situation for both companies. Our goal is to offer Codemasters a custom distribution solution so they can outsource the functions they don’t need to own.”
