MMO publisher Trion Worlds has dramatically expanded its team to cope with its 2012 release slate.
The most recent hires include former Ubisoft lead game master Franck Vacher – now French community manager for End of Nations – and two former EA employees: Lee Sritharan joined as business intelligence director, while Kevin Taylor became European product manager.
Back in November, Trion announced another batch of new hires. Xbox’s head of international product management and strategy Jeff Pabst joined as European commerce director, while EA’s Euro marketing director Simon Bull signed up as senior brand director for End of Nations.
Jon Goddard was hired as head of European PR manager.
The company has grown its headcount from three to 14 over the last three months and is currently recruiting to expand its team further. It is searching for community and monetisation managers, brand managers for each of its three titles and two marketing consultants.
“We’re looking forward to a great year for Trion, and to help us meet our ambitious goals we hope to attract some great talent to the company this quarter,” said Goddard. “Growing Rift continues to be a huge focus, and we are ramping up for our upcoming titles.”T
rion entered the UK market last year and launched it first title, Rift, in March. In 2012, it will release MMORTS End of Nations and continue work on action shooter MMO Defiance, which will interact with a TV series of the same name.
